Until now, many libraries and related companies around the world have tried to develop a technology to generate the MARC of the latest literature pouring substantially. But since it has not been achieved, the problem of real-time generation of MARC remains a big proposition in the world of libraries around the world.

However, LIBERTREE Inc. of Korea developed the Real-time MARC solution, and the above proposition was solved. In addition, its core technology was officially registered as a Korean patent (No. 10-2015089) on August 21, 2019, and an international patent application (PCT) was also completed.

Meanwhile, libraries in developed countries are transitioning from MARC to MARCXML or MODS.  MARC is expressed in numbers, so if a problem occurs in one place, the entire data is messed up or broken, whereas MARCXML or MODS is displayed in characters, so anyone can easily and conveniently modify and supplement it.

Accordingly, LIBERTREE Inc. developed both MARCXML and MODS in accordance with the standards of the US Library of Congress.

In other words, LIBERTREE Inc. has the technology to generate MARC, MARCXML, and MODS in real time. Therefore, whenever there is a need to batch convert MARC data that each library currently has to MARCXML or MODS, it can be solved quickly and accurately at any time. LIBERTREE Inc. is the only company in Korea with this technology.
